Fastpitch Try-Outs

Today was our 4th day of fastpitch, and teams were announced! I am thankful to have made varsity for the 4th time, but what I am truly ecstatic about is the fact that my (almost) little sister, Sami Sue Sunitsch made varsity as well! She is a freshman and we have grown up together. She has grown up to be such an amazing young woman, and I absolutely adore seeing her every day. Playing with her is a dream come true! I could not ask for more my senior season of fastpitch!

Great Long Weekend!

This 4 day weekend went by so fast! Thankfully, I enjoyed every minute of it! Amelia's birthday party was definitely the main highlight! I LOVE LOVE LOVE spending time with all of our family, and gosh all our kiddos are growing up so fast! What a blast! Wouldn't trade it for the world!

Today, mom and I took a trip up to Bellevue, hoping to just get an idea for what I wanted for prom... AND WE TOTALLY HIT THE JACKPOT! We found two prom dresses (I need help choosing between them!), a dress for senior pictures, and a dress for graduation! All at Nordstrom! I'm so excited :)

Komo 4 Thinks I'm a Loser

So, we are still constantly thinking about Heather, and praying that the radiation therapy (that she begins tomorrow) takes care of the tumor in her brain. She seems to be doing quite well, which is reassuring.

Here is the komo 4 news story about her and our team. It was put together very well, but the lady thinks we are a "losing team"... oh well, at least we are tough and pretty ;)

"Hope & Glory"

So we just finished our first movie in "Film as Literature", its called "Hope and Glory" and was made in 1987. It takes place in London in the beginning of WWII, from the perspective of an 8 year old boy. His father goes off to war, but the family deals with with more of the war than the dad because London is contently being air raided. The film shows the significant influence that parents have upon their children and how if they are not role models then their children will find influences elsewhere (and they may not be positive influences). It's one of those movies that I liked because it made me think, but I didn't absolutely LOVE it. It was interesting being able to view WWII from the perspective of children. Add it to your Netflix :)
